Pro Inter Horses category
The Pro Inter Horses category is the second of the four Artistic Dressage categories. It has a single rider level:
– ADULT: from 15 years old.
The horse is schooled to High School level: piaffe, passage, close-sequence flying changes, pirouettes, together with movements borrowed from other riding traditions — spins from western riding, jumped pirouettes, vaquera pirouettes from Spanish riding.
The trainer's whole difficulty is to combine the aids so that the horse never confuses them, and can perform them through every transition — so that it becomes a dance.
Whip and spurs are allowed.
Moving up to Pro level is not a matter of adding movements: it is giving up the whip. The whip marks a horse whose schooling is not yet complete.
