Training competitions

This page lets you send in your training videos at any time. You can do it on your own or as a team.

These videos are judged just like a competition. The only difference is that Jenny and Rémy LARGILLIERE alone act as artistic and technical judges.

You upload a video using the link on the right and we judge it.

It is no more complicated than that.

Your score sheets are sent to you on Messenger.

That way you can hold a training competition yourself whenever you like.

You can stage battles, duels or any other score-settling between FDA members.

But why training competitions??

Artistic Dressage is an exacting discipline, calling for many qualities. These competitions will help you match the spirit of Artistic Dressage exactly, and so avoid the most obvious traps. You will improve on the artistic and technical side, and also in the making of your films.

These training competitions are an essential complement to the clinics we run all year round.

To take part in a training competition.

1 - Be an FDA member.

2 - Meet the conditions set out in the rules.

3 - Film your program in one shot, with no editing. (do some trial runs first)

4 - Put the camera on a tripod about 1 m high. (using the zoom is recommended for better visibility)

5 - Place the music source 1 metre from the camera.

6 - Upload the video using the link below.

7 - Do exactly as you would for a real competition

Choose a space outside the arena, about 15m x 15m minimum and 20m x 20m maximum, so you do not go too far out and cover unnecessary ground.
