Article 18 — Image and publication

A performance set aside from the ranking goes on existing on the internet. The rules protect the competition; this article protects the discipline.

To someone discovering it, a video published under the name of Artistic Dressage IS Artistic Dressage. There is no second impression.

THE COMPETITOR REMAINS FREE TO PUBLISH THEIR VIDEO. The Federation asks no one to take down their images: they belong to them. What does belong to the Federation is the use of its name.

A PERFORMANCE ELIMINATED OR NOT ADMITTED MAY NOT BE PRESENTED AS A COMPETITION PERFORMANCE. It may carry neither the name of the Federation, nor its logo, nor any mention of a competition, a level or a ranking. It is published for what it is: a personal video.

WHAT CARRIES THE NAME OF THE FEDERATION COMMITS THE DISCIPLINE. A video showing what these rules set aside — a horse lying down, a horse struck or disturbed by its equipment, a restraining device, constraining tack — has no business carrying that name, whatever the quality of the rest.

WITHDRAWAL OF THE REFERENCE — The Federation may ask for a mention, a logo or a title to be removed from a publication. It does not ask for the video to be removed. Refusal to comply means referral to the committee, which may go as far as exclusion.

RESULTS ARE PUBLISHED BY THE FEDERATION. It is their sole source. A ranking announced elsewhere commits only the person announcing it.

WHAT THE FEDERATION REQUIRES OF ITSELF IN RETURN — It asks the pair's permission before publishing a video or a photograph. It always names the rider and the horse. It does not publish a performance in order to show its faults.
